Experiment
So the other night I was making banana bread in the kitchen, so I wanted to have Luke somewhere that I could see him and also continue with my baking. To accomplish this, I opted to put him in his booster seat in the kitchen, and decided to go ahead and feed him dinner at the same time. Being that he's almost a year old, I thought it would be neat to see if he was ready to use a spoon on his own.
As you can see from the pictures, I was gravely mistaken.

Around the house....
If you asked me which room was Luke's favorite right now, I'd definitely have to say the kitchen. Luke has suddenly become enamored with pots, pans, and tupperware, and is content to play with them for hours!
He here is in his new favorite hangout:

Of course, he still loves playing in the living room too....

Eleven Months Old (take 2)
So....it's a little late, but I finally got a good 11 month picture of Luke! It's virtually impossible to get him to sit still at all, so I was pretty happy with this photo!
People have told me that kids get more and more fun the older they get, and I have to say that they're absolutely right! At eleven months old, Luke is fantastic! He's really developing a personality and it's neat to see him get bigger. He's not quite walking yet, but he's definitely close. He cruises around the furniture and along the walls, and it won't be long before he lets go. When he's not cruising, he's crawling around the house at lightning speeds! He loves be chased, so I'm often on my hands and knees crawling after him around the dining room table. He especially loves being in the kitchen, and recently figured out where we keep the pots and pans. He gets a kick out of pulling all of them out onto the kitchen floor. Another favorite is the refrigerator, both inside and out. He loves play with the magnets, and he gets even more excited when the door is open and he can look at all of the neat stuff inside. One of Luke's newest games is picking something up (pacifier, block, etc.) and holding it out for you to take. Of course then you have to hand it back, and this can go on for quite a while! Luke is also really responding to Drew and I now: when I get home from work and go in the house, as soon as Luke sees me he gets a big smile on his face, crawls over, pulls himself up to standing against my legs, and puts his arms up to be held :) It's the best thing ever!! And then when I do pick him up, he puts his arms around my neck and actually holds on!
Just a few weeks to go and Luke will be turning one! Really looking forward to all the new experiences that are to come :)
