Good day today! Spent the afternoon with a friend from school and her baby (born 7 weeks after Luke).
Here are some shots of Luke from dinner:

Midsummer Monday
Today was a nice relaxing Monday. Typically we're out and about on the weekends, so Luke often ends up taking his naps in the car or riding through the aisles of Stauffers in the shopping cart. Therefore, I try to stay at home and have a quiet day on Monday, so that he can get good naps in and have more of a normal day after the busy weekend.
I got a few things done around the house during his morning nap, then cuddled up with him on the couch for his afternoon nap, which was quite nice :)
When Drew came home we all went for a nice walk around the block, then came back home and made dinner. This evening, Luke dozed on and off while Drew and I watched an episode of "Midsomer Murders", a BBC murder mystery show on Netflix.
All in all, it was a great day!

Sunday
Today was a nice end to a pleasant weekend. We did church this morning, then lunch with Mum and Dad at their house this afternoon. We came home for a few hours before going to small group tonight.
Luke's getting good at sitting up.....still with support, of course, but he's getting there!

....still HOT!
We had a very productive Saturday! Drew washed both cars, we gave Daisy and Luke a bath (not at the same time), and we went grocery shopping. Tonight Drew made chicken quesadillas for dinner (YUM) and we relaxed in the air conditioning.

One HOT Day
Not much to say about today! After Luke's vaccinations yesterday, I figured that he'd be pretty sleepy. As predicted, he slept from about 8:00pm last night until 1:00pm today, waking up to eat three times, then immediately going back to sleep. You'd think that I would get a lot done while he slept, but alas, I slept too! I was in bed until about 10:00am, then spent the next few hours holding him in the nursery while we both slept. Sleeping upright in a glider while holding a baby isn't the most comfortable position or best quality of sleep, but I've decided that I'm going to make the most of life with a little baby while I can :) Soon enough he won't want to snuggle up with me, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts!
So, after our very long lie-in (as we say in England), we got up, had some lunch, then headed over to hang out with Katie for the afternoon. Even after all that sleep, Luke was still fairly fussy and clingy. This evening we went over to Grandma and Grandad's for dinner, and had fun watching Wipeout.
It was ridiculously hot all day - even this evening! Hoping that it cools down soon.....

Four Months Old!
I can hardly believe it, but Luke is four months old today!! It's absolutely amazing how quickly time passes and how quickly he grows!
Luke also had his four month checkup today - he is now 12lb. 1oz. and 23.5in long! He is almost double what he weighed at birth (6lb. 2oz.) and 4.75 inches longer - wow! The doctor was very happy with his growth and how he is doing. He was all smiles and giggles during his appointment and did really well. However, once the doctor left and the nurse with the shots came in, it was a different story! Poor guy had to get three shots in his legs - the same as last time. He screamed, naturally, but we were ready with a blanket and a bottle of milk right away. He calmed down fairly quickly and we were good to go. Tonight he was pretty fussy, and slept on and off. Now he's in bed, and if it's anything like last time, he'll sleep for a long time!
As far as what he can do at 4 months old.....his skills include grasping objects, sticking/pulling things into his mouth (toys, blankets, mommy's hair, etc.), holding up his head and neck, squealing, cooing, giggling, and smiling. We've been working on tummy time a lot, and he is improving. He holds his head up, so now we're working on those upper body and arm muscles. The doctor said he should also start rolling over in the next 4-6 weeks. Oh boy!
