In the world of eating, Luke now enjoys prunes, carrots, bananas, sweet potatoes, and pears! And of course he has rice cereal for breakfast - YUM. We give him one new food a week, and we've been alternating between fruits and veggies. So far he likes everything and is a really good eater!

Seven Months Old!
Seven months already!! Luke is fantastic. His big accomplishments over the last month have been learning how to sit up and (very recently) learning how to crawl! He started sitting up a few weeks ago and was wobbly at first, but mastered it within a few days! He now sits up perfectly fine and really enjoys being able to play with his toys this way. Crawling has taken longer to master, but he's finally beginning to do it. He started out by pushing himself up onto his hands and tiptoes (like a pushup) and would stay like that before flopping back down. Soon after that he figured out how to get on his knees, and he would just stay on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. Finally, the other day he began lifting up one arm then putting it back down again. And just a few days ago he actually started moving! He's only gotten about two steps so far, but I'm sure he'll pick it up pretty quickly. He just needs to get the coordination down.....

Weekend Fun
Saturday morning - we introduced Luke to bananas for the first time. They were a big hit!
Then we played on the floor for a little while.....
Of course, Daisy wanted to join in......
Luke is getting VERY close to crawling! He pushes himself up on his arms, then all the way up on his tiptoes! Then he starts freaking out. He just can't figure out how to get moving. I've been demonstrating crawling around the living room floor all weekend, but so far he hasn't caught on. Stay tuned!
I picked up this toy at the Weeusables sale last week. Luke loves it!
Prunes and carrots for dinner - he has no idea that that's a disgusting combination :)
More playtime......
And......a sippy cup! We tried this a week or so ago, and Luke wasn't too interested. We tried it today, and this time he did well with it! It seems to work better when he's lying down, that way the apple juice is easy to suck out. Before he couldn't get the hang of tilting the cup far enough.
Phew! It's been a fun weekend!
