Now that Luke has figured out that he doesn't have to stay in one place, he NEVER stays in one place anymore! He's constantly crawling around or pulling himself up on things.

(okay, this was one exception....)

Sick :(

So last week we noticed that Luke was teething, which we assumed was causing his runny nose. However, his nose got worse through the week, he got all phlegmy, and was really stuffy and miserable. We noticed on Thursday that his left eye was goopy and a bit swollen, so we got a doctor's appointment for Friday night. The doctor thought it was just a cold, and that mucous was draining from his eye. Just to be safe, she prescribed an antibiotic eye drop for us to use. We've been giving it to him for a day, and it definitely seems to have helped. Luke is still a bit stuffy and cranky, but hopefully he's on the mend!

Apologies if this grosses anyone out....!

On Thursday we had our weekly dinner at Grandma and Grandads. Luke practiced "walking" with Phil, Mum, and Dad. It's amazing - he just started crawling last week, and he's already pulling himself up on things and moving nonstop!

Today we went to the Harvest Fair at church! Luke was nice and bundled up, and really didn't seem too interested in it. I'm sure he'll be a bit more interested next year! Drew and I ate lunch, walked around a bit, then left.

This evening Marmee and Grampy came over for a bit and we played around in the living room.

Visit with Grandad

Today Luke got to see Grandad for the first time in almost three weeks! Here are some great photos that he took:

CRAWLING! ....and teething!

If you haven't already guessed from the previous pictures, Luke is now crawling!! I am absolutely amazed at how quickly he's picked it up. He went from a few tentative steps to crawling across the room in just a few days!

In addition to the monumental feat of crawling, we discovered on Saturday that Luke has a tooth coming in! He had a horrible night from Friday to Saturday, and was pretty grumpy most of the day Saturday. He was also very warm to the touch and had a runny nose. It finally occurred to me that teething might be the culprit, and sure enough, there was a pointy little tooth starting to poke through on the bottom! So we've been giving Luke Tylenol and Baby Orajel to try and help with the pain.

With all that being said, here's a video of Luke crawling! You can see how he's fussy and snotty because of the teething. Enjoy!

Snowy Weekend

So.....I was totally a skeptic about the forecasted snow this weekend. And, boy was I wrong! We got quite a bit of snow, and even a few tree branches down in our yard.

On Friday night we bundled Luke up and went over to Drew's grandparents' house to visit with relatives. 

On Saturday we stayed home and enjoyed the snow from inside! 

Guess who can climb up onto the side of his crib?! Needless to say, Drew has now lowered Luke's crib so he won't be climbing out any time soon.
