Life in the NICU
While we originally thought that Luke would just be in the NICU for a day, he actually ended up staying there the whole time. In some ways this was nice, because it gave Drew and I time to rest, and it also gave us peace of mind because he was being cared for around the clock by terrific nurses. On the other hand, we missed having him with us, and had to go back and forth between our room and the NICU to see him.
Overall, it was a good experience, and we really appreciated all of the nurses that we got to know over the few days that we were there. Here are some pictures from his stay:
