Right now he's a big fan of playing with his feet, grabbing things and putting them in his mouth, and squealing. He's so close to rolling over - he almost got it today. He just can't quite figure out what to do with his arms when he tries to roll onto his tummy......
As I mentioned in one of my last posts, he's gotten really good at playing in his Exersaucer. You can definitely tell that his back is getting stronger. He loves to stand up and have you hold his arms. I'm hoping that soon he'll be able to sit up on his own.
Drew and I tried to weigh him on our bathroom scale, and we got about 13lb. 4oz.. I'm sure that's not exactly right, but I imagine it's close. He was 12lb. 1oz. at his 4 month visit, so he's gained about a pound. We take him in for his 6 month check up on September 20th.
We've decided that once he can sit up on his own, we're going to start giving him solid foods (the doctor said to start at five or six months). I'm looking forward to seeing how he likes it! He's been eyeing up our food when Drew and I eat, so I'm hoping that he'll really be into it when we start.
Here's his 5 month picture:

It's a bit blurry, but it was our favorite of all of the pictures I took. His happy personality shows in this photo, whereas he didn't really want to smile in any of the other ones.
